Spotted these two today while spraying,
Two ex jack pike, must have been wetter than I thought.

I went out and sprayed a couple of patches of thistles after lunch as it was ideal, but thought the ground was like rock. Then Mrs Fred phoned up just leaving work 4 miles away and couldn't believe it as she had had torrential rain for most of the afternoon and said it was coming down too fast to drive as the wipers couldn't keep up.
Still dry and sunny here although we had a couple of claps of thunder.

Talking about wet or the opposite I have never seen land dry out so quick, our fields are drier than Ive seen them in the last 10 years
I agree travelling across much of southern England I am shocked how much heavy land is already cracking up. Never thought I’d say this but we need a bit of a drink now for grass and cereal crops. Ah, a Bank Holiday weekend coming up so rain will arrive no doubt and on the Ceredigion coast I suspect if the fronts come from the normal direction. You’ll be asking for an Ark before you know it and #Kevtherev will be rushed off his feat with drainage work!

we ended up with barely a drop here yesterday, but my sister said the pub carpark where she works was 4 or 5" deep after an hour's rain and that is just 2 miles away. It really has become very localised :)
