I polished the slurry tanker…

So I had a spare couple of hours and thought I’d try and freshen up the paint on the tanker before it goes in for its dribble bar. I was questioning my own sanity half way through but I’m more than impressed with the end result! It actually has knocked years off it’s life and the paint has an almost new lustre again.

Not bad for 7 years old, and spent all of its life outside!!

pictures always flatter? but that looks in the picture new? Colin you are a credit, by the way you look after the tractors, you have shown pictures on here in the past and this? Ive often wondered as ive looked at tractors and machinery in the yard of our main newholland dealer, the one famous for the tripleD tractor, what type of animals? have used and abused some of the tradeins, some look like they have never been cleaned, or cared for? this dosnt give a good impression to a prospective buyer, or the type of money offered?

It’s always been kept clean but the polish up just brought a whole new lease of life to the paint. Time well spent in my eyes. I know what you mean about most used machinery though. It just gets neglected, mainly due to lack of available time.

I didn’t fancy putting a shiny dribble bar on the back of a faded slightly pink tanker so it will suit well now :)

I think it is new, we need a before and after, and going by his usual high standard of kit I cant see that he would ever have let it get that bad in the first place :)

Haha, nope it’s Definately a 2015 tanker :)

I did attempt a 50/50 shot but it didn’t come out overly clear. If you zoom in You can Definately see the where the polished bit ends though and the duller more pink side on the right.
