That proves absolutely nothing and why should that situation continue ? Will everyone shout BOOO when there is a threat or do yo have another strategy? When was the EU formed in your opinion?

Nothing to stop the UK from importing cheap beef from Africa or cheap meat from New Zealand or Australia, and that is even more true now your friends in Brussels have just agreed to trade with South America....
What cheap meat do Africa export , monkey or what.

Beef - from Namibia amongst other places, but definitely with a hefty tariff and I think a limited quota also.
They have people near them dying with hunger , no need for they to export it here

Beef is a luxury - if they can get some sold for foreign currency they can buy medicines and the likes.
If they gave it to their people they would need less medicine.

That was part of Russia, didn't involve eec members. If they had been part of the eu it wouldn't have happened

It was part of Yugoslavia. There was a degree of fighting throughout that country after the fall of communism and probably was least severe in Slovenia but Yugoslavia was never really under strict control of Russia. Trouble started there in 1980 after the death of Tito and initially was because the ruling Serbs were attempting to retain control over the other Balkan states.. You are correct in saying that the EU was not responsible because it did not exist through most of the conflict and if it had it would not have been able to do diddly squat. NATO finally got involved and calmed the situation just as NATO, not the EU, has maintained the peace to a great extent since WW2. You are another person who confuses the continent of Europe with the EU. The EU is not a state, nor a continent and has no direct influence within a significant proportion of Europe.

They were monitoring the conflict but couldnt stop the fighting, the un took over but were just as useless in the end NATO took over and sorted the job
