So I’m thinking about writing a farming blog im a farm worker and live on a mixed farm. I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing about agriculture so much I want to start my own blog. i was thinking of interviewing different farms and posting a case study of each one including pics and information ie farming policy etc thought it might be interesting ? Posting and talking about machinery? what platform shall I write on? Website ? Give me your ideas and what you guys would want to see. Thanks

A few years ago I stumbled across this blog by a guy called Freddie Lawder.

It gave a very well written and entertaining account of his time dairying in NZ - I'm sure you could pull some good ideas from this.

I’m agriculture advisor. We have covered everything from farmers mental health to my learning how to grow Lucerne. Only problems have been a change of editor and the new one trying to control what’s written. Typical press :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Good for you!

I for one find the astute balancing of all the farming factors that go into 'policy' one of the most interesting things about farming.

Set up a Wordpress blog and promote it on Instagram and Twitter, (and TFF but take the responses with some salt). Take some interesting pictures of course.

We are all agricultural advisors on here , it’s what they call a level playing field but it’s probably worth what they pay for it .

Just get on and do it, if it is interesting people will come to it. Sadly there are tens of thousands of us think we can write, we can, but it is drivvle to anyone else. And I include myself in those budding authors

Mrs. used to write a column of news from her sphere of activities and interests in the parish pump section of the weekly County Newspaper.
As above. Always well received and complimented and led to more discussion with further ideas for future copy. Sort of snowballs and grows.

Like prostitution no point doing it for free.

As a point of interest, I was watching a programme called Manctopia (or similar) recently about the massive building regeneration of Manchester and there was a scene of a developer looking at some derelict property.
There, on a tatty piece of cardboard among spent condoms, was scrawled:

"Blowjob £4.99"

Why not £5 I have no idea.
