IBC water trough

I have a couple of black cylinder shaped tanks that I bought that have a top lid only. Getting a threaded tap with a big rubber washer took some doing at the base involving drilling from the outside and throwing a rope in and pulling it out through the drilled hole.

They only carried concentrated fruit juices and must be three times the capacity of an IBC

i know the ones you mean think they hold about 2000l

Those black orange juice tanks were about 30 yeas ago around here, they ar quite unstable to move when full mind I much prefer the IBC on a pallet.
The iBC's I have had have been used in the food industry, flavourings etc, a good flush out and they are OK.

We bodged this up earlier this summer. The fittings came from eBay. Apparently most IBCs have fittings like these, but some are different so you need to check. It would have been alright for sheep but the ball valve in the trough was for high pressure and flow rate would be too slow for cows. It needed a low pressure insert.

Most of those orange juice things had a big screw on lid that a thinner farm worker could get in quite easily - It always cheeses them off if you roll it around a bit whilst they are in there, I am sure that you would fit @JP1
