IBC'S for calf hutches

Hi All
Anyone on here using 1000 litre IBC cubes for calf hutches? Never reared calves in hutches before but we are running short of housing so I was thinking IBC'S would be a cheap option.

Ive just looked at the dimensions of a cube against a single hutch and I dont think it would be big enough, What breed are they?

Holstein Fresian heifer calves. I was looking to make a pen out the front so they could run in and out.

I've got about 40 of them and they work really well for me. I'm block spring calving and we have them out in a field and keep 2 jersey heifer calves per container for about 10 days until they're drinking really strongly them they move to groups of 12.

A couple of years ago they were very easy to get hold of but since the RHI grants encouraged everyone to put in log fired burners the cages are now quite in demand for storing and delivering log in.

They work really well cut cages off and then use them as the pen for the front of the pen. Would agree wouldn't want them in their too long but a good starter pen
