Yes very much of value for all sorts of uses ......we use them with the plastic removed for log transport / storage for which they are perfect.

£55 for single use ones in good condition.. delivered in was the last price we paid.

some things that they contain are harder to wash out really well than others ime, and can taint water for say, sheep use …

Black ones are worth more for slow use stock watering etcas they protect it from sunlight and algae growth.....

In practical ideas they had some that had been converted to all sorts of waterproof storage use by cutting the top of of the plastic carefully, this can then be replaced back on as a lid .. to keep tools or whatever.. dry and easily moved about....

These are mostly single use really, most are clean as trace elements, the molasses ones are not so clean but the contents was harmless

I've seen the empty crates used for all sorts of things, feeders, small lambing pen, firewood holder etc you can usually pick them up for about twenty quid. Plenty of gardeners want them complete for water butts. We use them for our pheasant pens easy to take into the yard on the teleporter to refill .

Black ones ? I could do with a few....

Don't want wooden base tho...

no all are white / transparent- no wood, all are metal cages

I guess I should now move this thread to general for sale !!! £20 each collected if anyone wants any then !

most are pristine / as new condition and clean with none toxic previous content

20-25 quid. More for pristine one off units. I paid 25ea last year for spotless ones, ex-agrochem are usually free or as near as, as the washing out is a PITA. I have one at present that must have held pendamethelin or similiar. Impossible to to clean properly... A classic case of "worth what I paid for it!"

I use the cages for small paddock hay feeders at this time of year - just the right size for a dozen ewe hogs. Then for hay to ewes and lambs of the weather kills me in the spring.

The plastic bottles I cut into two 12” deep trays and a middle bit. The trays make great “bunds” for keeping fieldmice out of my tote bagged feed, the middle bit goes to recycling.

Very useful. I use 2 ibcs of trace elements & use all the empties for water bowsers.

Cut the top out and fit a rack for draining spray cans. I think @Rob Holmes was looking at making one for a mixer tank.
