Ideas for better drill logistics?

If you have a tractor spare maybe something on the 3pl.

Forklift with a puh would be easiest and probably cheapest.

Pay someone to sit on a seed cart for the day

How many hours do you tend to do in a days drilling? Anything over 4 trips home it’s worth having something in the field. Would probably take 15 mins to refill in the field so only 30 mins lost travelling.

Tractor can still tow seed trailer on pickup hitch, cost £220 from a farm sale

High lift trailer every time
And to compliment it an astwell drill filling auger , have one for sale stick it on a trailer does the op have another yard type tractor what could go on auger trailer ? , and then you need your bike to travel about on , o take seed and old loader tractor or forklift to field then bike back to yard for drill saves a bit of time

If the system involved uses a loader as well as drilling tractor in field, how do you get back to field / farm to pick the loader / tractor?
Folding bike , moped , wife or partner etc?:scratchhead:

If you're filling more than three times a day you'd be better with a bigger hopper. We used to have a 300kg, now up to a tonne. Huge increase in output.

I have a tipping trailer with a hydraulic auger on the back.
you could get long pipes and run the hydraulics from the drill tractor (risky though tipping it without a tractor hitched)

worst case you drop the drill to use the trailer.

can supply pics if I can find them.

I have seen a normal auger had a hyd motor cobbled onto it and mounted to the combi drill so bags didn't need to be lifted high but still need to be lifted.

hang bags on a tree!!!

don't be put off thinking hydraulic augers are slow, I was a lot faster with old drill than trying to stop at half a bag. probably same now I can shoot 1/2 ton straight in.
