Hi folks,

Just got my hands on a contact2000 weedwiper, looking to clean up a fair amount of rushes, thistles and bracken.

Planning on using glyphosate obviously,
•what’s the best rate to work with?
•best forward speed?
•wipe one way or both?
(Didn’t get a manual with it)

any other handy tips much appreciated.

Be fine for rushes and bracken I’ve done loads just run it flat out and whatever speed you feel comfortable driving at

but if you use it for thistles on grassland with glyphosate you’ll end up with yellow stripes everywhere as the wheels are behind the brush 🙄

I’m not sure how much help it will be, but you used to be able to download the manual from the Logic website. They were always quite helpful if you enquired on the phone too.👍
About the only user guide I can’t see listed is for the weedwiper 🤦🏼‍♂️😆

I’ll send them a polite email.

How man acres should you expect to cover on a tankful? Thick bracken obviously less than 50% rush cover
I haven't done much dense bracken, just patches that creep in from the moor. But could comfortably get across a 6 acre field of mostly bell thistles and bracken on the headlands.

Think so. Its a while since I've used it, but thats what it's previous owner did so i did the same. Guess it'll depend on the glyphosate strength. Some generic stuff was only 320g strength but some stuff nowadays is 540g and would need less?
But the wiper we had, had a 20 litre tank, so it's 10 litres of chemical did my 6 acres which isn't far away from the 4l a hectare on the glyphosate instructions..

Made a start with this tool tonight, hopefully made a bit of a dent but noticed as I finished that the right hand end of the brush was dry, nothing coming out the two nozzles at that end. All were working before I started when I ran some wayer through it, wonder what’s likely to be the problem? Seals/diaphragm on the pump?
