Idiots guide to Milwaukee.....

Do any of the Milwaukee users on here know if we will still be able to get a new battery charger for our V series batteries?

The charger we need is a V1828C.

We must have been too quick to get on the Milwaukee bandwagon as our drill is a fair age and uses V18 4 amp batteries and our charger has went pop!!

I was hoping that Santa would drop off a new impact wrench but gutted to find out that M series batteries are connected the opposite way from Our V series!!!

Not sure about adaptors some say they dont work? Great lake tools in US have charger listed on there website so maybe available over there.

Personally i think i would sell what you got on ebay and start again rather than spend more money on a system thats not supported any more.

You could ask the milwaukee repair centres in uk if they have any used ones kicking about?

Getting on well with the grinder but not so well with the fixex nut thing? It gets bloody tight and I’ve had to get a spanner to it to undo a few times then the other day the handle broke of while using the grinder

Someone once told me just tighten up the disc with the brake on, the nut sort of tightens itself up or just give it a little nip, then to undo just put the brake on and turn the disc usually works for me at least with the little grinder

Thats the old version. I got 2 of them. They dont work well on depressed centre discs. Take a disc and offer the nut up to it with out the grinder i think you will find the outer is a fraction on the big side and nut does not seat flat on the disc.
The new style nuts are smaller on the outside which also seems less prone to catching on stuff.

Only times i have trouble doing them is if a wacked it on something or with depressed centre flap wheels which do seem to get really tight.

This as side they are still a million times better than a normal nut.

Ah I’ve gone to an ordinary nut now tbh, I only ever tighten the disc up by turning it but that explains why that fixex thing got so fast il perhaps try the new type

Here’s a long shot!

Don’t suppose any one has one of the stackable for an M18CAG115XPD grinder (M18 Fuel breaker) that they don’t use and would sell!

Does anyone know where I could get a box for a Milwaukee grease gun?

Cheers john

Search Ebay, bound to be some on there.

I have one for a grinder and another for impact gun but I chucked the inserts out and gong to use them to store parts in as they quite handy for that especially the grinder one as its nice and deep.

I do have a blow moulded case for a brushed hammer drill and impact screw driver if anyone wants it? will only be any use to some one with these exact tools though as its the old type case.
