Idiots guide to Milwaukee.....

I recently bought a M18 FPD combi drill, complete with 2 x 5Ah batteries and Rapid Charge charger... All I've done so far is charge the batteries, but in doing so, experienced the following..... When I placed the battery into the charger, the red and green lights on the charger flashed alternately. This is the signal that the battery is knackered ... But after a bit of jiggling the battery around on the charger, the red light came on an the battery charged perfectly. The same thing happened with the second battery. This one took a lot more jiggling and removing/replacing on the charger before it eventually began charging. So, is this normal, or do I have a fault?

Not had that issue but if they were proper dead flat it might do that? Make sure you register them all for the extended warranty.

I'm hoping it was because it was the first time charging...Otherwise, I think I'd suspect the charger to be at fault, as it seems more likely than two dodgy batteries......Anyway, I have the drill and both batteries registered for the warranty..I didn't notice an option to register the charger?

yes you should register charger unless you registered as a kit?? even so I still think you have to put charger serial number in? chargers are cheap anyway so it wouldn't be the end of the world, I got 3 of them but not a fast one, not a lot of point in a fast one IMO when you have 6 bats anyway.
