Spotted in local screwfix this, am. I only spent a fiver but they gave me a voucher for 10% off next purchase over 40 quid so would make for a good buyView attachment 732014

Just be careful with that kit, it’s more of a diy spec item as opposed to the heavy duty stuff from my understanding. Either that or it’s the older model. Just check the spec compared to some of the others, you may find it isn’t actually that good of value.

Considering one of these.

I often want a portable vac for cleaning debris from engine compartments etc, also be handy for cleaning the van out.

Some videos on YouTube, anyone used one?

There is something to be said for the DIY spec drills though... they are nice and light. A small battery on a DIY drill is half the weight and much handier for bobbing up a ladder with. If it isn't your only drill it is probably worth having one around if the drill only costs 50 quid or so. They often do package them up with a small battery and slow charger for ~70 quid to get you onto their brand.

I’m not sure what model my drill is, but it seems to have a very ‘slippy’ chuck. It’s a keyless one and no matter how hard you tighten it it still spins on the bit occasionally?

There should be some groves in the 3 claws that grip the bit, if the claws are plain you might wanna start saving up for a new one.
Some Hitachi drills where prone to it. Local toolguy said to get a metabo chuck instead if it was worn.

well if its the top spec Milwaukee with 135nm it'll need a dam good chuck:ROFLMAO: Dads got the top spec 135nm one but to be fair my older brushed one has a better nicer chuck I think? his seems a lighter duty chuck on a more powerful drill:scratchhead:

Was a toss up between that and the hi torque 1 which I felt was just a bit heavy for every day use, spoke to 1 of the mechanics at dealers and he said he’s been using 1 of these for a month or so and it’s the 1st 1 he goes for now, I’ve got a fast charger with the grinder but for £260 for this kit i thought it was daft to turn it down, was gonna be another £120 for the hi torque 1, the 3 batteries are worth £165 alone

Anyone ever had a battery die?
My battery was working fine and then all of a sudden it shows a flashing red light but when put on the charge it’s showing as full? 5.0Ah only around 3 months old.

Nope never and i got 6 of them all long out of warranty.
4 x 4amp and 2 x 5amp

Ring CJ Sinclair they will sort it, they fixed my angle grinder twice under warranty no problem and very quickly. They even arranged courier to collect i think? All i did was phone them and box it up ready.

Right after years of talking about it i am actually going to order a 1/2" drove impact wrench i quite like the look of the mid torque one earlier in this thread it seems a good size, and being old school i don't mind if i have to use a breaker bar for the initial cracking. I also don't want a impact wrench that weighs a ton.

Can anyone tell me what model is best to go for is there more than one model of mid torque? I have read all 23 pages and still bewildered by it all, i will be ordering a bare grinder once i have the impact wrench

Any help much appreciated.
