Anyone with the cordless grinder notice any difference in power between the 5.0ah and 9.0ah batteries, or is it just longer run time. I know there is no difference in power in the less power hungry tools like the cordless drill, just wondered if the grinder warranted the extra power of the 9.0ah. cos, 2x5.0ah batteries are cheaper than 1x 9.0ah and they use the same 18650 cells

When they’re fully charged there doesn’t seem any difference, but they do go flat quick. Below about 50% they seem to lose power.

Would be interesting to try one of the new high output M18 batteries on a grinder, but they very expensive just now.
M18HB5.5ah high output 3 X price of standard m18B5

Probably get them a little cheaper shopping around, the 8ah high output is the same price that at sgs and you’re getting another 2.5ah

What are peoples recommendations on drills? I let the smoke out of my hitachi battery drill (with the old system of batteries that pop in, instead of slide in so quite old) and there is a big list of drills from 170 euro to over 400. I was quite contend with my old hitachi powerwise.

Milwaukee M18FPD is a good all round drill if you have batteries and a charger already this is as cheap as it has been https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/Products/004000060001/EB%2FM18FPD2-0
No longer advertised at this price but still orderable with that link it was for black Friday week.

Speaking of registering the warranty, if you register through the app with serial numbers and proof of purchase does that cover you for the 3 years or do you have to still register on the website?

Fairly sure you need to register on the warranty extension website!

What impact wrench would fowk recommend for farm use I made the mistake of buying the 1/2 compact one and it’s just not man enough (am I still allowed to say that!?) it won’t even undo quad wheelnuts without a bar first! 1/2 or 3/4 on the bigger model? They seem to come in heaps of sizes do they not?

The model numbers are a pain to remember but the "high torque" is 1898nm and "mid torque" is 600nm so check the spec and don't mix them up. Looking myself, just waiting for the right deal
