Tuesdays purchase sorted out and ready to go in the truck, just deciding whether to try and make a second removable layer with the other piece of foam to fit my other kit so everything is together

can anyone shed some light? A friend has same grinder as me and we took his and mine on a job. On returning mine wouldn’t work at all, then he texts saying grinders must have been swapped, as his only works with 5a battery and not with his 9a, but his grinder won’t work with any of my batteries! Swapped them back and mine is fine with all batteries and his still only works with his 5a batteries! His grinder is 3/4 years old mine is newer that’s the only difference, seems a bit weird.

Sorry I haven't read through the whole thread, but I have a problem with 2 batteries. The charger says they are fully charged( green light) but when you put them on machine there is nothing. When you press the button on the battery just 1 red light flashes. Am I doing something wrong? One battery is only 1 week old and has not been really used.
Just thought I would ask here before I take it back.
Thanks

They are probably too flat to recognise on the charger, even new ones if stored for too long can drop below the amount charger will recognise, you can warranty the new one as you have 2 years on batteries if you registered them within 30days of purchase, otherwise its just the standard 12 months warranty.

the other one try switching the charger on and off a few times, after a while it might trick it to get enough charge in it to charge fully if not its probably toast.

I have some quite old batteries now still work fine but i never leave them flat, always keep them charged up even if not in use.

Hi are the millwakee chainsaws any good 18 or 12 battery
Thinking about a top handle 🤔
I recently got one.

I've been working my way through the firewood heap over the last few days. It's been doing about 1 neatly stacked wooden crate (the ones paving slabs etc come in) per 12 ah battery.

I would say it's heavier than I was expecting and not as well balanced as the Stihl one I have used.

If I was using it daily for more than an hour or so I would probably get the Stihl to be honest. However, we plan to use it once a day or every couple of days to nibble away at the wood heap and once the battery dies that's enough for the day as we all have bad backs.

I wasn't aware you could get the 35cm bar and have the 30cm one.

If you already have a load of smaller batteries that may help reduce the weight?

Thank you, I cancelled it and bought that, I don’t mind paying £50 over the odds but——.

eBay we’re doing 20% off on powertoolmate’s Milwaukee tools the other week and might be 10% now. I splashed out on new toys taking the 20%. Powertoolmate’s eBay store quite often have better deals than their website.

Yes, its been discussed many times on this crazy long thread! Its not always the case but sometimes there ebay site can be cheaper and infact if you bought that 1" D handle impact via there ebay site a used the current 10% off/MAX £50 off ebay voucher you would save another £50 compaired to ordering it off powertoolmates own website but never assume with the ebay voucher its always cheaper cause it isnt always the case.

I'm looking for an impact wrench, mainly for normal farm work - tractors/diggers etc. Not massively heavy duty and unlikely to be tractor wheel nut level - more trailer wheels, swapping flails over type of work mainly.

See the Milwaukee M18FMTIW2F12-502X has been recommended above but with so many options on the impact wrench side, and a natural tendency to convince myself I need a 1" impact for £1000 'just in case', is this mid torque going to be enough/still model to get?

Or would the Milwaukee M18ONEFHIWF12-502X be a better bet? I can't seem to find it without the OneKey option though, which I'm not keen on...
