If you’re buying stores at auction

Just out of tying to gain some knowledge. We have both Charolais and Beltex x Herdwick store lambs. When we take them to the Auction we have always sorted them into their different lots. Beltex x or Charolais x. As a buyer are you bothered if there is 2 different crosses in a pen or do you prefer them to be just Beltex x or Charolais x?

I would probably sort them out by size and quality rather than breed, are they all similar type lambs?
Which are the better lambs ,beltex or charolais?

Thanks for advice.
Not a lot between them at this stage. Sold some other day and same price though I thought Beltex looked more solid. Personal pretend farmer view. Charolais has bit more leg length and 7 inch more body length to grow into. Would actually be nice to hear from someone who bought them for their sold fat opinion

Do you always sell stores or have you sometimes fattened your own?
Im guessing as you run herdwicks you are maybe up in the hills so find selling as stores more suited to your system.
You will have had a good trade with them this time anyways!

I would tend to sort by size and breed and let the buyer mix them if he wants. Same for store cattle.
