where do I find this mystical £50/ac land ? at least double that around here and x4 if it has entitlements, 2 yr FBT is common, only a fool invests in fertility on a 2 yr deal so the land gets mined - plenty still prepared to cut throats to get it though and best of luck to the busy fools IMO

I have dropped 2 blocks of FBT land over the last 2 years as the rents are not sustainable. (and that's from a farm with a very sharp fixed cost structure) Contract farming is the future for the business minded, FBT's are for egomaniacs obsessed with big shiny machinery and broken calculators these days
