We’ve bought three stock tups from Northern Ireland and have said “never again” and “if you see me bidding on a tup from Northern Ireland shoot me” Probably unfair, probably prejudicial, probably tarring them all with the same brush, it was only three after all. But we were totally convinced.

This year we were in on 20k on a lamb that went on to make 48k. Guess what...he was from Northern Ireland.
And infertile!

Sorry if I offended you, just intreged why you randomly commented about texel sheep in a thread about limousin cattle

There was a comment made about commercial buyers trusting pedigree sellers and I pointed out from my own experience that pedigree buyers are just as wary of pedigree sellers, but often swallow their misgivings and just bid up.
