If you tell lies you'll get caught out eventually

Kick a man when he's down, why don't you?

Why is it of any consequence to you that a bull somewhere was attributed the wrong Mother? If you have any cows, can you claim never to have put the wrong dam or wrong sire on a calf's passport.
Anyone with any street cred knows that many pedigree breeders and Arthur Daley have few scruples when it comes to promoting their wares.
Would that be you condoning dishonesty again, you seem keen to paint yourself in a poor light. ?‍♂️

To answer your question I've never knowingly put the wrong sire or dam on a passport, and I'm as good as certain I've not made any mistakes on dams, and I have always done a DNA on the very rare occasion where a sire has been in question.

If you're referring to the case in the OP, you've clearly missed the most likely and pretty obvious reason as to why the wrong dam was allocated.
Keep in mind it wasn't just one animal that turned out to be the problem, there was a list.

I don't get the SF till Saturday so if might be in but..... from what I've heard the SF might not publish it whether they have it or not in fear of anyone sueing them

Surely they’d be well advised not to at this stage given an arrest was recently made and presumably a court case is due to happen?

Everything will get aired and be reported on then I should think.

I would be astounded if it was released before the legal stuff has been sorted out. I know there was an arrest but I haven't heard much of an update about it

That's the stuff nightmares are made of if you have sucklers, particularly if you keep your own replacements.

If I had a mix up and I thought that I had allocated two calves to the wrong mothers, it would be an outrage. In fact, I wouldn't know whether or not to do a DNA test and delay registering them with all the hassle that would entail, or whether to make a rough guess, even though I would expect many sleepless nights. In fact, even the thought of it gives me palpitations.

Oh dear, you paint quite a picture with that brush!

Firstly I didnt mention 2 calves, or registering them for that matter, I was more thinking of calves being rejected later on when things calm down. Which obviously doesn't bother a dairy farmer.
If breeding replacements, parentage is quite important, particularly where males and females are bred in the herd, that was my reference.

If it makes you so upset when you make a mess of registering perhaps you should get out of bed more often and make sure you don't mess up, or buy a camera that you can replay the footage from.

You still seem determined to make reference to you relaxed attitude towards being fraudulent towards traceability, and making light of the rules.
Not very a bright move when posting on a thread such as this, where again you shed the industry and your own standards in a poor light.

I'd offer you like a bigger shovel, but you're almost out of sight with the one you've got.

Sounds like he means business (y)

I'd still be quite surprised if the SF printed anything unless they've seriously covered their backs or even asked BLCS for a counter... It's going to be very interesting. The whole thing is a sh!t-show altogether. And Gunnerfleet reposting Tony Booths op about Ballinloan Inch being questioned and still allowed to go through a society ring will give the society the fear. I wish they could all just come together and sort it out once and for all as it's doing the breed no favours and more importantly honest folks integrity might be unfairly questioned now.

Really glad I have Lims calving for the first time this year :ROFLMAO::X3:

The Society have taken the biggest step in making a female first calver to be DNA profiled (imo should of been the case from word go) so you would think long term this should never happen again... We just have to get there first

Why are Gunnerfleet so desperate to air things on Facebook and in the Scottish Farmer at this stage?

An arrest has been made and presumably a court case in due course where all can be presented and reported on then.

Very ill advised for them to be talking so publicly about it all at this stage I’d have thought.
Be far better to bide their time if they want justice.
Going the right way about shooting themselves in the foot I’d say:scratchhead:

Perhaps and understandingly Gunnerfleet is more interested in pointing out at this time in the inaction ineptitude of Limousine society?
As for the criminal case that is separate and the individual in question will if he chooses be able to defend himself at that time.

I agree. I know how frustrating and financially blowing it might be but I would keep my mouth shut till after all the court stuff is settled in case it came back to bite me on the arse

sorry if been mentioned before, but i havent really been following the jagerbomb thing, but there must have been some sort of fiddling going on, as any new bull to have anything registered to him he has to be DNA'd so for the society to tick off jagerbomb then withdraw it there must of been a fair bit of inaccuracies.
luckliy we use french sires i guess,
I appreciate there can be a chance of errors especially when you have had to swop a bull over due to lameness ect but have often wondered about the birth dates, when we last showed some heifers which were 550 kgs as around year olds and there were animals half as big again but only a couple of months older it makes you wonder.
