If you think it's bad here.....

What he said, plus alterations to water course protection, carbon credits scheme etc etc. He said there's stock farms going for 2k an acre with suicide rates increasing due to mortgage troubles. He told my brother that he didn't think her covid plan was much cop either as they are losing no end of tourist revenue. Basically she's screwing over primary industry at a time when people are going to need jobs, any kind of jobs.
i bet the 100 odd thousand that are dead and buried here from covid wished they lived in new zealand

so does that mean nz only did so much better than us because they dont have buses, offices, lifts, pubs, supermarkets like we do where people breath each others second hand air, they got all of these and still did better, if youve got a thousand people that visit say a supermarket every week, does it make much difference how spread out their houses are

London alone is almost twice their population , factor in airplane movements ,well I know which Country I would rather (try to ) manage for virus reasons , not that I would want to but someone's got to do it.

Closer together, sardines in a can, it wasn't so much like that when I was in Wellington iirc, and Chrstchurch , well that just seemed sort of rural in comparison to our big cities.

Oh ffs not forgetting NZ is 2,000km from the next nearest land mass and actually can (allegedly) control people entering and leaving the country.
That said remember with the last Auckland lockdown, who was the first person to do a runner/ bailed out???
Lead by example, eh.😆

Yep. As soon as I heard the PM was flying down to Wellington from Auckland to hold a press conference I knew Auckland was screwed ;)

Nz had past experience with sars in 2003
As did most of the far east
Thats why they had a plan and implemented it
And when it came to pandemic planning we opted for a flu like virus in the last decade which was useless in spite of according to my vet all veterinary students in the past forty odd years being taught that a novel virus like covid would jump the species barrier so no one can say they were unaware. Its been a gross dereliction of duty by government not to plan for this virus

Even our own medics knew it would happen sometime.
