Hi we have a 10ft trailer at home with the old forklift style tyres was wondering about changing them to the more standard tyre and wheel has anyone done this and know what is involved and how much it would cost? Cheers

Had same issue few years ago. The cost was not cheap, needs new hubs etc. Ended up swapping the trailer for a new one, as it made more sence to put the investment into a new trailer than a 20 year old one

Yeah that’s what I thought just seems a shame when trailer is in decent nick but tyres gone knackered

Ask for the price of new axles complete. However when the brakes went on my last one, it cost me less than £2k more to change the trailer than I had been quoted for a brake overhaul on a 12 year old trailer.
