I have used both Keith Blain and Whitehall trailers. Both good and virtually same price. Genuine IW backplates will come assembled with brake shoes. Worth spending a few quid extra for stainless brake cables

Just done our tri axle with all new bearings, back plates, spring bushes, couple bump stops and hubs found Hendry Kent trailers most competitive and bits arrived promptly. Several orders as once you get into always find something else.

I am currently researching the replacement of the plastic hydraulic fluid reservoir for the lift pump on an 8x5 IW tipping trailer. IW quoted approximate £100 plus postage (£16), Ebay has the same tank for the same price with free postage. Then there is what appears to be an identical tank for around £25! I am always very suspicious of being asked to pay extra for a name! Need to phone the cheaper company tomorrow to check it will fit.

If it’s for my own stuff, I don’t mind OEM. If it fits and does the job, it’s right.

Punters can get sniffy about none-genuine parts, though.

The TT tipping gear tank was Fluid link ,had to replace mine after a rock droped on it and split it open
