IH 475

My Father has a 474 and to say it's gutless would be an understatement, I'm led to believe the 474 engine later reappeared in the 584 albeit with a different injector pump, uncle has a 584 and its a great tractor, based on this I'm assuming the Perkins was used in the 475 to overcome the deadness suffered by the 474.
I have no experience of any IH under the 784 so l dont know. But if the 474 could be transformed by a different injector pump then surely IH would have done it as opposed to using another manufacturers motor ?

How good of one do you want,
I had a 475 in which I sold a while ago for 2750
I think the guy is wanting to resell it for similar money

It runs starts and stops
It had a new windscreen frame in original goodyear tyres
No doors
In average condition it's not a Minter but it isn't scrap either

We are in Cumbria 45 miles south of Carlisle

An odd piece of tractor history particularly as by that time Perkins was part of the same empire as MF. If IH had a problem with power I would also have thought a step to the next size and down rate would have been the answer. The IH engines were produced in Neuss and were sent all over the world.
