Does anyone know a good tool distributor, I require a socket to change some rowcrops wheels, I am looking for a 1 1/8th inch socket with 1 inch drive, have seen a couple but for silly money probably only use that size couple of times then it will lay around the workshop for months on end.

Thanks for all your replies fellas, have got 1 1/8 socket & 1" to 3/4 adapter also a torque multiplier the problem is the adapter brings the multiplier out to far so that the lug? Does not anchor onto the next stud so the whole multiplier turns, tried holding it with a crow bar but it's to powerful to hold it, never seen such tight wheel nuts before can't think what they were put on with!!, it has already broken two sockets using 4' extension tube on the bar & lowering a loader on to the extension.... wouldn't budge just broke the sockets, will have to find something else to wedge it.

Can you not slip a pipe over the torque multiplier and let it come against the ground and self anchor?

MMM, do check they undo the way your turning them, LH threads have caught many out, and the number is increasing these days as they are much less used.

Your problem is the 4" extension. Get a breaker bar with a flexible head to get the torque where its needed.

A neighbour had the same draper 3/4" socket set as mine and broke a socket(using an extension and 6' of scaffold pipe) tring to get a wheel nut off.He rung up wanting to borrow a socket. So rather than let him break mine a went down and cracked the remainder of in no time.
