Many countries use Pesticides BANNED in the UK
Some years ago, I visited a farm near to Lviv in Ukraine where that had a massive stockpile of pesticides - we estimated 40,000 tons. Yes, 40 thousand tonnes. Most was old Russian stock in rusty drums and the labels were missing or bleached. They didn't have a clue what the stuff was, but were still spraying it on the crops. And grain from that farm was being sold to a prominent UK breakfast cereal manufacturer as "Certified Organic". At that time, the cost of a quality certificate was $20 or a case of vodka.
