Over here we aren't producing anything like enough food for everyone, HMG is only 2 meals away from anarchy if imports stopped.

I have Kiwitech fencing, swandri jumper, cdax weedwiper and bettercraft waterproofs, mind you how much of that is made in China now?

the whole carbon thing is a bit of a croc to be fair
I know alot of guys on here there farming systems not a million miles away from farming here
there are kiwis with grain feeders in paddocks and even thinking will feed out nuts later part of summer. when grass drops in feed value
dont realy think eather side has the high ground to throw stones could we off set out carbon with trees. yes if could pass all the crap to get a permit to plant out areas regen farming ideas etc etc could help off set it
scale will have some efect on footprints but once again there are bigger outfits in the UK running the same kinda numbers as some nz guys
I think there will be a push going to happen how im not fully sure as the only place the carbon could be covered is on farm which would need to cover all transport packing etc etc to cover it all to the end user would take alot of changes and in the end unless the price payed reflects the added costs or loss of output that would be hard to know
