Importing a New Machine From The USA

IMG_0395.JPG

I think I may have mentioned it a couple of years ago, but I thought it would be too much hassle.

Having had two years of hassle and looking like plenty more to come with the bloody thing I decided to buy two years ago I'm thinking again.

Aye-up,

I like the look of a new machine in the states. Before I bother making any enquiries, what is the deal with importing stuff.

It would be a bare chassis-cab agricultural machine to which I would mount a spreader body.

Cheers, Pete.

its nothing too complex Pete - consider exchange rate, import duty etc when looking at the price. Shipping wise is simple enough and not as expensive as you might think

If it new then registration in the UK should not be a big issue - will probably need to go through a SVA test like imported cars do but again this is straight forward enough

there are import agent you can engage to manage the entire process for a fee
