Importing a New Machine From The USA

Were you correct then? ;)

Ok, they do have a newly appointed dealer. I’m sure they won’t mind me posting that, they were well aware of TFF. In fact it was a TFF member that asked them to call me. Thanks @Rusty#1

They will have a 6x6 truck in the uk in about a month and they said they would drive it to me and we can have a bit of a go in it.

There are loads of tyre options, oversize no problem and several gearbox options including an Allisson auto. Bit early for pricing but they are on to it.

They use heavy trucks in their main business and have had similar trouble to me in trying to buy a new vehicle. Tatra ticked their boxes and one thing led to another and now they are the uk dealer.

I’m really looking forward to finding out more.

@Cab-over Pete are you aware Oxbo Ploeger is bringing out a 3 wheeler floater resembling the terra gator? We just toured the factory and they said it be coming in a year, they didn't give any details

There’s pics of it within these pages, and some discussion about it.

Iirc it was mentioned that it looked very ‘terragator like’.....

I think we had a letter from Agco recently, letting us know that Terragator parts were going to be available through Ploeger
And I’m sure there was mention of Ploeger taking over the factory and staff? So definitely a tie up and possibly some Terragator heritage in the new three wheeler?....

I was told at LAMMA last we that parts for Terragators are being sold buy Ploeger. So you probably have to buy them from PMC at Fakenham as they are also owned by Ploeger as well.

I can’t imagine them being overly bothered about supplying parts for a 22 year old Big A.........thankfully we very seldom need main dealer parts, but sometimes it’s the only option :(, so that fiasco is yet to come:rolleyes:

I can’t remember if the letter from Agco stated who our nearest dealer was:scratchhead:, or if it was just a generic letter?

There where 2 major polayers at Terra Gator's EU operation.
dorus van Esch
Adri Kunst.
the later was the 1st CEO after Gerrit Kurstjens sold the company to AgChem. When Mr. Kunst left Terra Gator, I think he is now with Vervaet, vanEsch was the CEO.
After the decision of AGCO terminating the busines of manufacturing the Terra Gator applicator line the engeniering people split between Ploeger, where van Esch is now & Vervaet, to my understanding.
BigA spare parts:
it's not only the prices for spare parts through the official channels but it's now even the availability.
the old 2505 which we used, 2was "re imported" to the US for very good money. Reason is that the used Rockwell axcels are in high demand as the manufacturer stopped manufacturing spare parts so they are now scrapping old units to keep the fleet running.
just my 2 cents of it.
