Importing tractor from NZ

I am looking at bringing old tractors from Canada .... it is only really viable to fill container unless you can share
The actual shipping cost is reasonable
taking into account the distance but there are other charges

When I shifted my ploughing kit we dealt with a forwarding agent to get a container And shipping it organised. I guess it would be the same for a machine that couldn’t be containerised. I can see if I can find my agents details but there are plenty of them.
there were a few guys on the old BFF that were working for kiwi machinery firms who helped me with contacts - not sure if any of them are on here?

My opinion for what it's worth is the tractor is safer in container... there are 2 different height container available
you're absolutely right.. standard or hi-cube.....even with the latter you will struggle to get a tractor in.. hence the reason most JD's arrive here as Ro-Ro cargo. If you can find a distributor who brings tractors in containers you might be able to "cadge" a set of steel slave wheels that allows the tractor to be lowered significantly and fit inside a hi-cube container....

I, perhaps wrongly, assumed that it would be too big for a container- tractors that went over at the time were all around 100hp and even without wheels on were tight against the roof in a container
Hi cube with steel slave wheels used to work for all the McCormick's we brought in up to about 175 hp. We preferred containers , because they arrived in much nicer condition
