1) Monitor ---- FEC for worms/bloods for fluke, IBR, BVD, mineral status etc
2) Assess---talk to vet about risks (depends on where you are /what land you graze )
3) Treat short term ---worms=anthelmintic etc
4) create long term management plan ---vaccinations? /disease screening /planned grazing

Vaccinate cows for BVD if you aren't already.

Test for BVD Johnes, lepto and IBR.

Monitor fluke and worms. Rotate grazing fields used for young stock year on year if possible.
Reseeding is a good way to clean ground as well as renewing grass.

Get a mineral to suit your farm based on feed samples.

Most importantly;
Buy in as few stock as possible!!

All ready jab for BVD and have just about done with buying in as i will be able to keep my own heifers from now for replacements,A real eye opener looking at the IB TB mapping so i will be avoiding buying anything from areas of high TB breakdowns Agree with the reseeding but wire worm are a bit of a problem here but will be doing some at backend
