must admit, was surprised, nicely though, but that will soon go.It’s not dry if you’ve got moisture only 100mm from the surface . . .
that’s what we survive on

Not round here we've still got all our badgers! There's quite the population of hares and rabbits, pheasants, squirrels, rabbits, starlings, moorhens, rabbits....we have a lot more hares than usual, since the badger cull, don't suppose there's any connection ? The same applies to pheasants, partridges and hedge hogs.
not that far away, we have no rabbits, l tell a lie, seen 2 recently, they won't last long, some virullent disease, takes the lot out. Been no rabbits here for 12 years. They start to appear, increase, and gone. Not round here we've still got all our badgers! Freeloaders as they are otherwise known I think the Badgers and foxes are struggling to keep up with the food on offer as I can't get rid of the bloody rabbits!
The cull didn't make it to our village but we have clean ones on our place anyway. I know you're local I just haven't worked out wherenot that far away, we have no rabbits, l tell a lie, seen 2 recently, they won't last long, some virullent disease, takes the lot out. Used to shoot 100's here, funnily enough, l miss seeing them.
I assume that 'Watership Down' isn't a favourite film of yours??i would sooner have ducks than fudgin rabbits
I dont have a Rifle , if i did it would be like the wild west here, and many, many rabbits would have their asses blown off, right off .......and the Buzzards and foxes would be not working hard for breakfast lunch . tea supper.

At least ducks don't dig burrows and nests all over the show.. I don't mind things coming for a feed but destruction "feels personal"i would sooner have ducks than fudgin rabbits

Cows seem happy with last night's move. Permanent pasture this one, not been ploughed in my lifetime, more grass than anywhere else on the farm at the moment, just gets muck and cows
They don't come round very often these daysYou would make a good input salesman cry.
Good article, I often "find myself there" too; it is awfully difficult to explain how you come to be at a particular place at a particular time when your audience have a view of things that is a result of "this is just how I am", "this is just how things are", "this is what the experts said was the best"Whose science to believe?

Allan Savory, George Monbiot, and Walter Jehne share the same problem we all do. Being criticised for being unconventional. A fear of shame, blame, or guilt can keep us small unless we courageously step up, be heard and risk the label of hero, heretic, or upstart.
