In the Game of Drones, you always win! Cowboy drones that can move, count, monitor, and manage cattle

Can you picture drones helping cattle farmers move, count, monitor, and manage cattle? That too without any sort of human intervention? This is exactly what Folio3 Animal Care Practice is doing. Folio3 has developed algorithms that can automate programmable drones to locate, move and count cattle. Some of the cattle drone use-cases mentioned below are being deployed at a few of the largest beef feedlots in the United States.

Many a time, some cattle move away from the herd and get out of a pasture. It’s important to locate them and get them back with other animals. So, drones can be programmed to make the stray animals move in the direction farmers want them to go and join back the heard. This is very useful in areas it’s hard to get to. Farmers can also use a drone with a camera to locate the herd in the pastures and move it. This helps reduce the time it takes to move cattle. When you hover a drone over the herd, they will move away from the sound of the drone. They are not scared of the sound, but just gently move.

Be very good for fence less mob/holistic grazing use the drones to keep them on the hoof instead of cowboys when they all age out. Could run 2 or 3 on one mob so when one needs recharging you send out the other.

Be good for same thing on hill/Moor except the f***ing walkers would probably file a complaint for invasion of privacy or some other carp!

I use a drone regularly to help me with grazing stock, it is brilliant for sheep.

There are two sorts of cattle though, at least on my farm; - those who hate the drone and run away from it and those who ignore it completely. I only use the drone for checking the cattle from high up or looking for escapees.

Sod that, sounds like trouble waiting to happen, I dont care what anybody says, when it comes to checking animals there's only one piece of technology we can rely on to prevent any kind of welfare disaster...

I just saw the trailer. Seems interesting.
But we are talking about no human intervention here :p

There’s already a drone that will locate and move cattle with minimum human intervention. This all terrain vehicle runs on cattle industry by products and is self replacing.
