Income potential in Airsoft

We just wanted to post up to say there is a potential to diversify and earn additional income from Airsoft.

We are an airsoft games organiser and have successfully worked with a farmer for a number of years on his land.

There are a lot of urban legends about airsoft but if responsibly managed:

1. it allows income from unused or underused land which might not be profitable from livestock or crops.
2. It doesn’t damage the surroundings
3. Land is only used for 2 days out of 14. so local impact is minimal
4. a good airsoft organiser will co-invest if the arrangement is long term.
5. Woodland and cover is preferable to open featureless ground

We are always on the lookout for new business relationships with farmers and land owners in central England.

We have been looking at one site with potential but insurance is a sticking point currently, on a start up/part time.
Flat land, steep sides also big old shed for under cover battles.

what sort of income stream could one expect please, I may be able make A 4 acre wood next to a substantial hard standing area available in a year or so, all being well

Just reading through some of the comments, we have never had problems with players and the law. A good airsoft organiser (and no doubt there are bad ones) will be very strict with players. We have a very good relationship with the local law enforcement. The problems we sometimes have are vandalism from local “yoofs“ and petty theft from travellers, as the sites are not manned during the week.

Bio BBs are quite common in the hobby now.
