How can it spread faster than the previous variants? This “spreads faster” line sounds like bollox to me, I must say.
In reality from what I know in cities and in schools at the moment precious little precautions are being taken and it’s fairly rife.
Just concentrate on getting the vaccines done now and carry on. Leave it to people’s judgement about the level of risk they will take. I’ll carry in being careful. If others want to risk it for a meal out then it’s their lookout. Personally I can’t see the attraction.

I would reckon any disease will spread in India quicker than anywhere else just due to the overwhelming mass of people. The more people there are to spread it the faster it will spread or maybe the Indian version just needs less spit which I doubt.

They don't say it does, only that it could.
It could also spread slower or the same speed.

Take a chill pill kids.
Any variant is coming up against a vaccinated population, especially those in the vulnerable groups.
That means far fewer folk ending up very ill or dead.
Eventually, as immunity grows said virus will mutate itself to a stage where it is weakened or dies off ...... or goes full scale plague.

Carry on ... :)

With the plague option, will we have the furlough system?

covid will roll on and on till the next big thing comes along, this variant that variant, its a **** show from start to finish. i do wear a mask out of courtesy to others but that's about it. the papers are having a field day that if they report hard enough they might get the government to shut everything down again... which they love. i do believe that an inquest in 5-10 years will make for interesting reading.
