Could do with a few more lambing pens and just wondering if anyone had any novel ideas or designs as apposed to buying hurdles at full price?
TIA

Buy a sheet of ply and cut it into 3 sheets, drill 4 holes in it and use string.its how we make all of our lambing pens. Here's some extras we had to make up couple of weeks ago.

Old cladding boards and old door frames. Bit of a pressure wash and good as new. Can get screw in eyelets off eBay are cheap as chips. Also got lengths of 12mm metal rods off our local steelworks. Cut them to length and kinked over the tops to link them together

Pallets are quite rare now in this part of the world, 99% of them have to be returned or are charged for, even the crappy ones cost €12, the heavy ones €20.
Bugger, i can get a trailer load a week if wanted, not all good ones though and for free, usually saw up for fire wood, save the best for pens. When av to many just have a big fire to get rid of um.

can't see how cutting a sheet of ply in three works:scratchhead:....cut in half two sheets would make first pen then each attached pen would require another sheet halved?...this would 4x4 pen?....unless you got a good deal on the ply i'dve thought hurdles were cheaper and make a 6x6 pen?

5x5 square out of 4x1 is plenty big enough, that what I use.

The pens aren't 4x4!

??

It makes a 4'x4' pen which stands 2'8" tall.

Perfect I'd say.
