As a rule we have our lambs out within a week , but this year had to keep them in a bit longer (about a 5 weeks -month) due to having to be off nearby keep quicker and later lambing , i went through lambs and gave a squirt 1-2ml of vecoxin at about 3 weeks old along with first dose of ovivac , but as they were going out today i noticed some watery muck in a few and we did loose one weaker one , so gave them a second dose anyway (belt and braces) What regime do others take for indoor lambs ,did wonder about dosing ewes to clean them out (cocci buckets be cheapest for that job )

+1 for Tolracol. Data sheet suggests not dosing after 6 weeks, I dose at 3 or 4 weeks with the first Heptavac
The biggest advantage over Vecoxan is the sustained period of activity that slowly diminishes whereas Vecoxan only kills what is present at the time of administration. The diminishing action promotes resilience as the lambs grow and are better able to fight the threat.
I don't have enough lambs to be statistically significant but after losing a third of my crop in 4 days one year to a cocci-nemo storm I started using Tolracol on young lambs followed by a white wormer at second Heptavac and piner lambs are now a thing of the past. Stomachs make ruminants and healthy guts mean healthy lambs. Cocci does massive and permanent damage to the cells lining the digestive tract.

Used Tolracol last year on four lambs that were going downhill quickly with cocci and it cleared them all up in a couple days. Stupidly I had missed diagnosed thinking it was nemo, still lesson learnt and the Tolracol saved the day.
