Well i spoke to the vet and she gave me 2 bottles of pen and strep, a scalpel, syringe and hibi. Did it again and was quite happy until she caught her side in a gate when i was letting her out resulting in bursting open another stitch. Now the scar is open quite a bit and tonight it looks cloudy the mater which is draining from it. Her temp after i drained it today was 39 degrees. Will check her temp tomorrow when she gets more pen and strep. Annoyed at myself about her ripping it open. Feel upset and deflated. Trying to do my best but im not a vet and am ending up making things worse.

Sorry to make light of your troubles @sjewart but I really love this thread:D
It's starting to remind me of one of those disaster movies:eek: - you know the ones, the pilot has a heart attack and one of the passengers has to land the plane, talked down by a chap in the control tower:LOL:
Only in this case it's @bovine looking at photos and describing where @sjewart should stick her scissors, helped/hindered (delete as appropriate) by all and sundry popping up with various ideas:p

Keep smiling @sjewart, I'm sure everything will be OK in the end (the passenger always lands the plane(y))
