Industrial build cost.

Can anyone put a ball park figure per m2 for building a fully insulated industrial building approximately 80m X 24m 6.5m to eaves. Not including floor/ stone.
Assume 80mm roof and 60mm side insulation. Only looking for a ball park figure as I know number of doors / sizes will add.

Thanks.

Im not an expert but would an "industrial" building for industrial use not have to have insulation to buidling standard's regulations.
The thickness would depend on if you use mineral wool two skin or composites pur filled boards i think but either would I think be thicker then you mention.
130mm rings a bell for roofs but i am probably wrong

60, 80, 100, 120 composite cladding is the usual choice obviously more expensive the higher you go ;-)

Probably 100 roof 80 walls depending on occupancy & use if the doors are open all day then save money.

I would happily quote - it will have to be hot rolled product as the Span is 24m and height 6.5

Cheaper if you could reduce to 15m & 6m and increase length for more floor space?

Then you could have a cold rolled frame.

Pm me or complete online quotation form.. it's free so you might as well have a figure than lots of guess work!

There's always a guy who nobody knows ... which knows of somebody who can do it for less.. (that's just frustrating!)

Get 3x quotes with CE certifications and file them until your ready to proceed!

Plus you will have some drafts to apply for planning.

Good luck - hope to hear from you soon

I know it's very vague! But only looking for vague numbers. Will probably just bite the bullet and go straight out to tender - and scare the life out of myself with the quotes back!

I recently quoted a 15m x 4m x 40m with 3x PA Door - 4x Roller Door - 8x Windows - 100mm Composite Roof and Walls & Skylights

Your's will be approx twice this size plus extra height ... so I have a fairly good idea... !!

For a quote to be valid we need Location & Use -

If it's the dimensions you first requested then I will have to quote Hot Rolled Steel so I expect a touch more than twice the price I quoted my last industrial request... :-/

Cold Rolled Steel Sheds are typically cheaper and easier to construct than Hot Rolled Sheds!

Cold Rolled - Limitations:

  • Span - 15m ( 50' wide)
  • Length - Unrestricted due to Portal Frame Structure
  • Height - 6m (20' to Eaves)

Hot Rolled Steel is favoured by the farming community (Heavy Duty) traditional RSJ

Only required if you need to go beyond the Height and Width limitations of Cold Rolled Steel or just prefer HOT Rolled !

The 'Steel' Cladding is the same:

Options:- Same products for Hot or Cold!
  • Insulation
  • Doors
  • Skylights
  • Gutter
  • Downpipes
  • Lean-to (Garaport)

We offer Free Comparative Quotes without obligation on both products, Cold & Hot Rolled Steel Sheds.

Ah, so you make those sheds that have pressed profiles for the portal frames instead of RSJs.
Just looked at your website and now I see what you supply.

I can quote both - Whatever the customer wants !

In our experience Cold Rolled is cheaper to supply and easier to work with (just as durable) but Hot Rolled (traditional Steel Framed Structures) are popular with the farming community!

I guess if it's Heavier it must appear to be better lol!!

But in all honesty it's the parameters that dictate (Height & Span) also if any equipment is to be attached to the frame Hot Rolled is the correct product to use!

Like I said the cladding is exactly the same - its just the frame!
