Inefficiencies in modern farming?

Location

Hi all,
I am an Ag- Engineering student.
Soon I will be asked by my college to make a project for my course based upon making something better.

I have decided to do this project on something Electrical in modern Ag machinery.
I already have a few ideas running around but wondered what people think -

What are some of the most in-efficient things in modern farm machinery GPS systems you have encountered?

If anyone has any ideas or experiences I would like to hear them, I won't steal anything just looking around to see what sort of things farmers deal with on the machinery GPS side of agriculture.
I'm not a farmer myself, so wouldn't necessarily know much about operating machinery or usage on a daily basis but i am still interested In knowing what farmers think is most in-efficient about modern machinery electrics or GPS and what could be improved upon.

Thanks all.

The general unreliability and faff of gps systems is an inefficient pita.

the mini mojo i had was very inefficient in that the time taken trying to use it then take it back to where i bought it was a waste of resources,/ money better spent on foam for my blobbers and looking out of the window...(y)

Make the implement width easily adjustable, and auto move the next line

For instance my triple mowers are vari width. No overlap when straight and flat. But reduce the width and increase the overlap when cutting headlands and side hills.
So cut across the field at 9.3m wide, get to a side hill and decrease the width to 9m. Then you have to exit the work screen, change width settings, go back to work screen, then move the AB line. It could quite easily move the line automatically based on the coverage logging.

Also a ‘learn’ feature. Can be quite hard working out offsets etc on a side delivery rake for example, if you could drive up the field and back to input the basic settings (and tweak from there) that would be good.

You could achieve the vari-width feature with implement guidance.

Suspect that is a lot of money though. Just a quick way to change width / overlap would help.

Also, when you set a straight AB line, unless you’ve driven dead straight (not always possible if you’re on a curved headland) you may miss bits on the next pass. If it could shift that first pass over enough to prevent this that would be useful. You can do it manually but it’s always a guess.
You could take this a stage further and let GPS work out a suggested AB line based on the shape of the field.
