Go to gestapo officeIs it possible to find out how much ineligible land is in n.i for bps
I’m most curious; why do you ask?Is it possible to find out how much ineligible land is in n.i for bps
I mean heather ground and bits and pieces of farm that are steep and tricky to accessWhat do you mean by ineligible? do you mean parts of individuals land that dosen't qualify or things like golf courses ,parks etc. I know you can look at a map and see areas that aren't claimed, comes up a darker colour of green on the maps.
Ah ok, I doubt they would give out that kind of information as that would be a breach of someones privacy I would have thought but it is a very good question as there does seem to be a big difference in what counts as eligible or ineligible. My neighbour who has a pretty good farm had an area removed because it had rushes and another bit because of whins but neither were bad in my opinion, both had been cut at some point the year before. Makes you wonder how they decide how much of a heather hill can be claimed of as we would see round here large areas of rushes. I told him to appeal it but he isnt the type to kick up a fuss but i would have tried my case anyway.I'm just want to compare areas of land in my area to compare are all farmers on a level playing field so if parts of one man s farm are ineligible and his neighbours farm is in similar or worse condition as far as gosh and scrub are conserned are we on a level playing field or is one man s land entitlement different from another
