You have my sympathy, you will probably not enjoy the mahoosively swollen Jacksons that you might suffer in a few days time. My doctor pronounced them to be the most impressive she had ever seen:notworthy:.
Don't go spraying tomorrow or anything...:censored:

Stop feeling sorry for yourself, get your MF maintenance manuals to the ready, and get back to answering technical questions from numpties like us!

Have speedy recovery.

My son had one of those but he didn't complain at all after the op; he was only 6 weeks old though :scratchhead:.

Maybe we could fill the thread with our daft technical questions to give @MF-ANDY something to do?

I'll start;

MF 6270; there is a little button on the right hand console to dampen the rear arms when travelling however when I press it the lift arms jerk up and down at random intervals, almost as though the tractor isn't sure where their preset position is supposed to be, a bit like an inguinal hernia really. What have I broken this time please?

How's it going, hope you are doing OK?
Not to bad thanks. The swelling you referred to has come and gone[emoji6]. No pain when sitting or standing just a bit uncomfortable when i actually stand up. I'm sure when pain completely goes i will want to start work but realise i must wait. All my customers know the situation and are sympathetic to it.

Probably nothing. Pressing the button introduces an accumulator into the system to dampen the arms. So I'm guessing the up and down movements are normal.

Does it when standing stationary in the yard, starts when the button is pushed and stops when pushed again. Not equal movements in terms of distance or direction either. Hope you're feeling better soon, at least things should only get better from here!

What are the raise/lower leds doing while this is going on?

I've got error code 38 flashing on the console and from memory I think the raise/lower leds light in the appropriate direction as the arms shake up and down.

Hope you're starting to feel a bit better now and really appreciate your thoughts at what must be a fairly uncomfortable time (y)

Hope you feel better soon. V common op so should be a quick recovery. Take it easy and rest up. Anything strenuous can ruin it so don't take any chances xx

I've got one of these too:rolleyes: It happened in early September, but the idea of not being able to work or lift means I'm hoping that it can be put off till the cows are dry , so May next year:unsure:
Then as a precautionary matter to prevent me "Doing anything stupid", I'm going on holiday.(y)

Noticed mine in April. Saw gp in May who referred me. Saw surgeon in August who explained the procedure and said it would be about 12 week wait so some time in November which suited me. They had a cancellation and offered me early September which i declined. It never gave me any pain or discomfort but was told it would only get worse and result in a larger operation. Arrived at hospital 12.30 pm. walked to theatre at 2.00 pm, back home at 4.30 pm. Did think of going on holiday to recover but not knowing how i'd feel and wife not able to get time of,f decided against it. Let us know how you get on.

Did you lads have the type whereby you could tense the stomach muscles and shoot a big lump out into your purse, which could be manipulated back in by laying flat?
Mine was not painful really, but surgeon said risk was that one day it might not go back, and become strangulated.
'Twas a good party piece anyway.
