How does age affect the efficacy of an unopened bottle of injectable forms of Calcium, and does it depend on any other additives like Glucose, Magnesium or Phosphorus?
Ive no idea.
But anyway It will be all there, the info, in the medicine record book, bn etc.

From a Vet or any Agricultural Merchant. It may be that, as is currently the case with Wormers etc., there will be a requirement for each outlet to have a suitably qualified person. But that should pose no problem to normal professional farmers.

unopened and well stored it wont hurt sensibly over its best by date ,
but just remember that at some point it will need to be explained to 'ze' inspector that's all.

This would be an insanity move from bureaucracy if they did this, and I'd bet magnesium would go, too.

Antibiotics, amongst other things, are vet prescription only. It doesn't stop me having a bottle or two in stock (prescribed by the vet), why would calcium be different?
Dont buy too much or it will go off before you use it.
Its just calcium why shouldnt it be different.
Its Just more complications, paper work time / money waste and assumptions that we arent trust worthy enough or knowledgable about our job for some reason.

we have done our 'milk sure' stuff, and presumably are 'trained' to use it, I can't think of the hassle, if we had to wait for a vet !
