Injecting slurry into crops in spring

Just thinking, there's a ban on autumn spreading, chucking it about in spring and leaving on top is allowed by EA apparently (even chicken muck). So how about injecting liquid in with a double disc type opener. Minimal disturbance, low draught to pull.
Would that be an answer for digestate and sewage etc?
Obviously only if liquid enough.

Digestate here is applied using a 24m dribble bar to growing crops of winter cereals.

I'll be spreading poultry manure onto grass aftermaths after first cut.

Last time chicken muck got spread near the village here in spring the place went into meltdown, my neighbour ended up with sugar in his diesel tank

Different part of the world. Digesters everywhere. Very small, rural villages. Tbh I like doing it - keeps the dog walkers off.

It's only smelly for a couple of days.

Injecting would probably be slightly more efficient than a dribble bar in terms of N captured but I suspect not a great deal. If you have the kit them try it although the cultivation could wake up some weeds. A dribble bar takes a lot of beating for low maintenance, light weight, ease of use, etc.

I spread separated dairy slurry onto wheat, dribble bar on an umbilical and trailing shoe on a tanker. Both 12m. On paper there should be less n loss from the shoe, I actually prefer the shoe as there is less material stuck to the plant if I need to spray with anything

The diesel and time used per ton/acre is going to be very high with that machine compared to just spreading it

That was mk1 It was going to go up to 12 m wide by doing some tweaking to it .That was a few years ago. I still think it’s got mileage in it.
