Injured lamb on the mend eats like a horse?

Ive got a rescue lamb been attacked by dog.

Shes on the mend, just had another penicillin and meloxicam.

Shes about 20kgish, not a fresh lamb id say 6 months old, shes had a few dramas along the way by looks.

Anyway shes not much of a drinker im getting a very weak milk mix into her here and there.

Question is, she eats like a horse? Grass, lucerne, rolled oats...a total machine! I been around sheep most my life and id say its a bit excessive,

Maybe meloxicam ?

Id say the only way she survived is she ate flatout, full of nutrients, maybe easier to sleep etc??

Should i restrict her a bit or let her go?

Ant...

Feed her plenty at the moment until she heals. Have a feel of her spine and guage how fat she is, and if you're planning keeping her as a pet then don't let her get too porky, but I don't think you're there yet.
