Being an “ethical vegan” is a contradiction of terms as far as I’m concerned.
A bit tenuous..You may think so but a cows digestion is based on a fermentation system which is drivan by bacteria.
I think its dead..Lewis Hamilton has a Vegan dog apparently ………. Or just a dog he doesn’t feed meat to more accurately
What is becoming clear that "Vegan" is a very fluid concept. They have created a label that means everything and nothing at the same time.
There is nothing ethical about being a vegan but as there isn't a clearly defined 'ethical diet', it is logical for someone that wants to be ethical to call their diet vegan rather than explain that they may eat meat if it meets their definition of what they consider ethical.Still nothing ethical about the wasteful life of a vegan, never mind the environmental impact. I have no problem at all with people who choose not to eat meat for emotional, taste or dietary reasons, but there are a host of good reasons not to be vegan from an environmental perspective. The single biggest cause of micro plastics in the ocean are washing machines with synthetic clothes, yet vegans won’t wear wool for example.
Fluid, alright. I was recently questioning a woman on the internet who didn't want to rub eggwhite on her skin "as I'm vegan" but was using her partners semen as a substituteWhat is becoming clear that "Vegan" is a very fluid concept. I'm just not sure who "they" are.

I suppose it does come from nuts but I did feel compelled to discover her logic in choosing one over the other on a "because I'm vegan" basis
I had a conversation with a vegan female once on a similar subject, won't go into details, her response was that true veganism is about permission and non exploitation. Therefore if she had the animals permission to eat it she would.Fluid, alright. Leaving aside the vegan argument, insect protein is going to be the future

On several occasions I have used a similar approach, usually referring to the many female animals that either resist the male advances or in the case of lions, are dominated etc. the usual responses are along philosophical lines about how having evolved a conscience & morals means we have a greater duty to protect others...I believe they think it is a matter of consent. I guess her partner didn't object.
When confronted by accusations that farmers allow their livestock to be 'raped', I asked for any examples of informed consent within nature.
They didn't give any.
Actually they are not. They are, like humans, omnivores, but much more towards being vegetarian on the spectrum. In fairness, pretty sure cows are vegan
Ate some crickets as a dare at Xmas. Is that what you mean?
