Insect Protein is Vegan

I am fairly sure I read somewhere that feeding a vegan diet to cats is now considered to be cruel. Apparently, they really don't thrive on it and, again, I believe a cat kept by vegans on a meat free diet was in such a poor state the owners were convicted of cruelty. This is from memory only, so I may be wrong.

Dogs are omnivorous, but can they live on an entirely meat free diet?

It's child cruelty in some countries to feed your children a vegan diet.

I've got annoyed with so called vegan dog food companies about this. Whilst dogs are omnivores, omnivory is a sliding scale. Apparently even wolves eat plants (some berries, a bit of grass, the stomach contents of ruminants they've killed), their diet clearly is mostly meat, they need limited plant intake (and to this end, they are able to make their own vitamin c). Their diet clearly should not be a majority plant based.

Just when you thought their hypocrisy has reached a high, you get a statement on National TV that food made from insect protein is vegan. This was for a dog food, which is equally mental thinking of feeding your dogs a vegan diet.

Insects obviously aren't fluffy enough to care about.
Vegans don't eat honey because it "exploits the bees" so, they are supposed to care about the insects.

Does that mean it contains cats?

Its got soya as the top ingredient
