"Insulate Britain" try to close down the M25

So many people stopped from making their journey.

In the news a lady had her cancer treatment affected, bound to be other emergency journeys involved.

The Police should have moved these people immediately.
And she'd been waiting for two years.

Had a snigger to myself this morning when Ferrari was on the Insulate Britain thing and the Halal slaughter thing... Killing chicken came up and he asked the caller how chooks were killed. Certainly not by crossing the M25 thought I.

Difficult one, as if anyone stopped me driving to work I would be furious, however, we as a country are terrible at altering our infrastructure, and we have never really discussed the elephant in the room, if we are to change our society to reduce our climate impact and environmental impact are we willing to make those changes? I suppose everything has to start somewhere.

Isn't insulate Britain what we are trying to do by burning all this fossil fuel and releasing GHG's then they go and stop people doing it, rather counterproductive isn't it

I had my house insulated about 8 years ago, and wish i hadn't. Its cold in the summer (maybe a bonus) but it's also colder in the winter so am using more fuel and costing me more money.
I wish they could explain that to me while they are hoding up people tryig to do a days work or getting emergency vehicles to hospital.

I remember Jeremy Vine having a report on cavity wall insulation, causing damp in the Wet West of the country, I am all for improved insulation, however, I worry that when government grants are involved, all due diligence goes out of the window. The cavity is there for a reason, to allow the external skin to get wet and the water to run down the cavity, allowing the inner skin to remain dry. Blown fibre allows this damp to track over to the inner skin. I am not sure if jablight balls allow this damp to track across? In situations like that, either external wall insulation or dry line with insulation backed boards.

I remember a friend had external wall insulation on a solid stone wall house (which was not breathable) and terrible damp problems. Should have had lime plaster and cork insulation.

What sort of insulation?

Suffice to say something has gone wrong, there.

Hypocrisy seems to be everywhere these days, ;)

We found it better to insulate inside, though you do lose a bit of room
