Just seen it on another thread.
Farms lost £4 million last year.
All those who posted about how well the farms were run with new tracks / buildings / Fendts with 6 cameras in the cab, must be feeling very silly...........

The loss is probably write down on assets rather than a true operating loss. Then there's probably 'management' fees being paid over to other Dyson owned companies and into special pension funds.

Pete Waterman has a huge model railway, James Dyson has a huge play farm, just how the mega rich pass their time and always have done. However, I find it laughable that he thinks he is going to represent all farmers.
I thought it was a bit patronising. The fellas only been at the job for 5 minutes and he assumes because he's losing money on his massive farm of some of the best arable land in the country that all the poor sods with under 2000 acres must be at breaking point.
Well he doesn't represent me and we have been reinvesting far more than our subsidy cheque in the farm for years. Not sure what govt payment to farmers will look like in 5 years but I know we will still be farming and trying to move things forward. Get back to reinventing hairdryers mr dyson.
