Sensodraulic (but maybe very very early 56's had that set up too) different gear levers selection (but again I think early 56's had them). There was 2 nice 955 2WD and a 9562WD at Oakfields recently and they only wanted 5750.....

What's the difference between a 955 & 956?

IIRC the 9 and 1056XL were launched in late '82, something different in the gearbox possibly the pressure lube. Sens-o-draulic arrived in late '83 with the launch of the 856XL

and the 56 series had the improved 4wd front axle, with the central driveshaft and the double CV joints which gave much better turning circle

The first ones didn't. Think the centre driveshaft came in around 86/87

Long gear levers pre-facelift. I think centre drive came in with facelift.
