I remember having a brand new 856 XL , and compared to other brands was a step up, great times, affordable tractors compared to today, massively over priced.
1255XL with air conditioning in 1983 £18K It was 6K more than a Massey 1200 bought in 1977, Oh heady days when 105 acres plus a bit of contract drill would pay for these damn near highest HP 4 wheel drives. But obviously not "County" stuff, (I wanted something more comfortable).
We had an 885xl 4wd. Prolonged hard work and the cooling system struggled to cope but that aside it was a grand little tractor. Ours had a front loader on it which eventually killed it.
