I never had any of the post 434 models with the old engines as I'm guessing they didn't sell so many by then. Am I right in thinking Mahindras kept the BD engines going after they ceased in the west? What is the best replacement plug option for the BDs?

They’re available as kits to buy but horrendously expensive! You need a set similar to the ebay link and make three connecting links and bypass the pepper pot resistor.

A friend was in India last year, and said the Mahendra tractors over there looked very similar to the b275 tractors over here, but was taken a back, when they were a 3 cylinder engine in the ones he seen

Aye them heater plug transform the starting no end,
it's like fitting electric start to a chainsaw

Little tip, the original copper wire has a small loop and a big loop,
Cut the big loop off, and make a small loop, and use them to wire between plugs,
Remember after the front (not cylinder) stop don't go to earth,
And use the original knerld nut
